Promotions Update Bosley Comes Through
Is anybody else feeling an ebb in promotions as of late? Or maybe it is just me, but my “miles due” list is really getting short.
The 20K Bosley/Delta miles showed up today, giving me a balance of 151,000 Delta miles without stepping on an a Delta plane this year. Car rentals and my hair consultation is all I’ve had with them. I have two more rental planned in the current promo for another 15K and have 50K in Northwest miles that will get merged in early next year I’m guessing, so that has turned into a nice little pot of miles for not flying.
Chase Bank is still on my outstanding list. They owe me 21K from June on a new credit card with Continental. My letter t the Chief Financial Officer in New York may have worked as when I made the ” this is not rocket science” phone call last night, Chase indicated it looks like they were manually posted and will show on my statement on the 24th. I’ve never been afreaid to go to the top as some of the best people for getting things done are the executive assistants of the top brass. They have to read the letter and dispose of it before the “Big Dog” sees it. But then again, they are still not in my account.
Chase again on a 21,000 promo for a free checking account and Continental debit card opened in June. This time I wrote my friendly banker back in Traverse City and copied his boss just in case he knows the right phone number to get it done. At least Katybug and I have received partial credit on this one. If no luck with the local boys, we are back in the mail to the Chief Financial Officer in New York again.
I repriced to Hawaii tickets and hae two $137 vouchers coming from United, but that one is well documented and should not be a problem. When I get to 1K status end of this month, I’m sure that will be one phone call away.
5K credit card retention bonus for the “Bug” from American on a credit card retention bonus and we are squared away with the frequent flyer world.
So, am I missing something? Off my game? I need a promo, mistake fare, mileage run, something, to spice things up a little.
