Round the World Itinerary is Shaping Up Nicely
I haven’t said much about our big upcoming trip but the prep work continues. I’ve booked the side airlines trip to Cuzco with miles, Hawaii Interisland tickets with miles and have been in touch with the hotels in the Machu Picu area. I’m about ready to book those and unfortunately have to pay for them as there is no chain to accept my hotel points, but maybe I can sneak a Hotelclub voucher in there somehow.
My use of miles for some of the shorter itins goes against my grain as I did not get the kind of $ value I usually look for, but was able to get some flight times that were important to our connections and rest. The preplanning has been more than I anticipated, but still fun.
OneWorld keeps switching schedules but they have been very accommodating. I stuck a Hotelclub voucher night in Hilton Head our last night on the island for $14 all in and tomorrow is the hardest day of the planning stage for me.
The shots. I hate shots, but know I have to get them. We actually are seeing an international travel nurse here on Hilton Head that keeps up with what we’ll need and tomorrow looks like needle day #1. If I pass out, Katy will be there to boost me back in the chair.
