We have an early wake up for our flight to Bangkok tomorrow, followed by a lengthy layover and then on to Phuket. Bangkok Airways did us no favors with the flight offerings, but it was still our best price.
Our next 4 nights are at the JW Marriott Resort just outside Phuket. I’ve heard a rumor that I can put Katy on an elephant and hope to have that one of our next pictures.
The weather today was so hot we never went outside and late afternoon thunderstorms seem to have signified the start of the rainy season here. The country has been very dry until today. It poured buckets for several hours. I checked the forecast for Phuket for the next week and the highs are upper 80′s. Although somewhat over my comfort zone, at least we will be able to go outside without frying. We are looking to our time in Thailand although the reports of two deaths on Phi Pi Islands are a bit of a concern. We think it is toxic mold in the room in question and are in hopes that the Holiday Inn Resort is on top of the situation.
