Katy and I applied on November 6th and as of the 18th had no response either positive or negative. I got a phone number of 888-609-7805 to check the status with a real human being breathing type person and they were actually glad I called them.
They had not responded and it appears they were awaiting my clairvoyance regarding needing to call them??
I had Priority Club card for Holiday Inn hotels etc with a 30,000 credit limit that was going unused and they wanted to reallocate to approve my British Airways card. Of course I agreed to lower me limit on the Priority card and accept the British Airways cards with the 100,000 mile bonus on a $2,000 spend.
Same thing happened when we called about Katy’s application. They were waiting to hear from her as she is a Chase customer with too much outstanding credit lines. We lowered some and she was approved also.
And the $2,000 spend, well we are remodeling and refurnishing our new home. $2000 each will not be a problem, unfortunately. Real spending is just against my way of thinking.
