And One Last Tip from Yesterday’s Post
If possible when you apply for a credit card that will be checked by one credit reporting agency, try to do the other card application that will be checked by that same agency at the same time. Same day inquiries are sometimes missed by the competition and not counted against you as they can’t see them.
And Now?????????????
I can not believe it. On December 10th I got an instant approval on the personal Visa which I expect to receive a later denial on this week. You know same story “multiple applications blah, blah, blah.”
The Citibusiness AA Visa card application was greeted with the “application received” notice after completion and I expected a denial, as I got for the personal MC and Biz MC.
Low and behold, it (Citibusiness Visa) shows up Tuesday, I activated and it worked. Will I get the miles? Hell, Yes I will. It was part of my application, and I expect them to post as soon as I’m done with my $750 spend. I have had this card before.
The only thing I can think of that is different is that on this card application I used my name as the name of my business. In the past I have always used my company name as I legitimately had a business in Michigan. Could it be that simple? Use a different business name?
The link I used has been deleted from my Top Seven Travel Deals, as I was that sure we were done. Here is the link requiring a $750 minimum spend, first year fee waived and offers 30,000 miles. The offer in the link expires 12/31/09.
I can’t risk my credit inquiries on a bank that has no rhyme nor reason to their decisions, and no reliable way to determine if they will accept or reject your application.
These guys are truly unpredictable and unreliable.
I’ll gladly take the 30K AA miles, but I won’t be applying for more of their AA cards until I can see a dependable and reoccuring behavior on their part.
