Spirit Airlines Charging for Carry Ons and Ryanair to Piddle?

I won’t even dignify the decision to charge for carry-ons by posting the link, but it is now a fact that you pay for your carry-ons on Spirit.

And now Ryanair wants you to pay for the right to piddle. Extra if your stop is more involved?

yes, I think the policy is that they will inspect the poop and charge additionally if it's over a certain weight.

when did you open the account?
we opened 1/27 and are waiting for 22500 each.

I opened both a personal and business account on 3/30. Each account posted the respective 22,500 miles already and I am waiting on the last 2,500 which I hear takes a couple months.

I noticed the T&Cs state: "The checking account must remain open for a minumum of six months or the 10,000 miles will be debited from the account at closing."

Can they really do that after they have transferred? I suppose I could leave it open but then have to hassle with minimum trans each month or pay account fee. Has anyone closed theirs within 6 months and been able to keep miles?

The card is still available to existing United Mileage Plus members (United's Frequent Flyer program — just sign up and then you will be eligible) — but you really have to search for the offer.

look in the lower left hand corner — there's a section (link) that says:
As a Mileage Plus member, you may be eligible for a special credit card offer. Check your special offer. When I clicked that, the 50k offer came up. $95 annual fee. 3 miles/$ on United tickets, $50 credit on United ticket after spending $250, I've applied for several Chase cards lately — we'll see if they turn me down. They turned down my wife recently for Continental's 50k card (tho they approved mine) because she had too many applications . . . but it doesn't last too long. With United and Continental merging, they will also be merging miles – so these miles will be even more valuable soon. Hurrah!
