The dangers of addiction showed in my behavior several days ago. I really appreciate you all putting me in my place. At times I get so revved up about earning a voucher I forget to look at the other side of the story.
I was tempted to contact United and complain that they should be aware of the conditions of their equipment at all times and should have had a different plane in place for our 6AM departure without inconveniencing me with an hour plus delay. I never sent the letter.
You all pointed out the other side of the coin by indicating, the pilot did the best he could under the circumstances he was presented at 5:30 AM. I will send that letter of commendation to United.
So thank you all again. My name is Rick and I am an addict in the miles and points game. And as with other support groups, listening to others opinions has brought me back to reality.
And thanks United for keeping me off the stinky plane.
