The phone agent I reached said that he would create an escalation ticket, and that their Marketing team would make a decision about whether to extend the 100k offer, within 8-10 days.

It was clearly not the first conversation he had had today about this kind of request.

(I recently signed up for a non-targeted 50k offer.)

I'll report here or on FW whether or not this actually works. I wonder whether I should've used the online secure message system instead.

I was thinking of applying for the 50,000 but now this has me read to JUMP! I'm just not sure if I should wait or go for it. They did deny my initial request for the BA but after reviewing my credit and past card history with Chase they approved the BA. Not instant approvals like I had in the past.
What are your thoughts?? I really like the Cash option? If I'm reading and understanding it corrctly I could just request my 100,000 points to be dispersed to me as cash in the form of a check sent to me for $1,000. This seems like the way to go for me. I could just add that to me vacation savings account for whatever.

I just sent a secure message to Chase with the inv # and the offer code. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Hope they give me the offer considering I just activated the card today. I knew I should have waited….tsk tsk tsk.

Had just gotten the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card about 3 weeks ago and heard about the 100,000 point offer this morning. Sent a secure message via the Chase web site and got a very nice response back from the representative. 50,000 were awarded immediately to my Ultimate Rewards account and when I have spent the necessary $3000 in 3 months I will receive and additional 50,000 points!

Score for me as well! Chase just replied to my request saying that would grant me the other 50,000 bonus points, and they'd post in a day or two. Rick, I don't push my apps anywhere near as hard as some people, but I'm still able to earn about 300,000 miles a year using your advice, all while keeping my FICO score above 760. Gotta hand it to you man, best blog ever!!

Both the wife and I got the bump via secure message last night. All agent names were decidedly foreign, so I wonder if the word got out to phone agents but hadn't reached the offshore agents yet. Points instantly showing in both accounts.

I just wrote to Chase via their online secure message system and received a response within 30 minutes. In addition to the 50,000 we'll get after $3,000 in spend, they've added 50,000 points to both my and my husband's newly opened accounts (we received our cards a few days ago.) A friend of mine just received an offer from you for the exact same card with a 100,000 point sign up bonus. I have told him it is great card and he should get it, just a little frustrating that he is getting 50,000 more points than I did.
I was wondering if there was any way to get the same bonus that he was offered and thus have 50,000 points added to what I have already received.

Got the card with 25k offer. Called a week after and got the 25k bump for the 50k offer. Emailed today for the 100k offer and 2 hours later had 50k more in my account. I seriously love Chase.

Applied for 50k Chase Sapphire preferred through a link on your site two weeks ago. Have had the CL open for about a week. Spent about $1200 on it so far. Applied for the 50K offer via your link on 6/19. Initially was not approved. Call 6/20 in and was approved over the phone. Sent secured message 6/20 around 5:30 p.m. Heared back in the early morning hours.
WOW!!! Easy as PIE!!! My heart was beating fast when I opened up the email from customer service. I was just thinking I might not be as lucky as others!! So happy to report back. It seems they are very generous with allowing all to receive offers that are available unlike other lenders.

Not as much detail as some others emails but none the less the same result. I just read a great response on MP that indicated where you can log into your rewards accounts. Currently since I just show my other Chase accounts online and then new Sapphire account has not even shown up. Maybe in a few days! Wow ! I am so excited!!!

Update: Contacted Chase via SM and was awarded the extra 50k points (100k total) contingent on the $3k spend. Note that I ordered last Friday 6/17 and haven't even received the card yet!

After I signed up last Friday I saw a link on the confirmation page for a $150 Chase checking signup. Requires keeping the account for six months and doing $500 direct deposit per month. Unfortunately I don't have the link anymore (I'm a rookie!)

Also, I removed my spouse from my account via SM. Will update on success with opening a separate account for her.
