Travel Zoo has a $235 spa package at Mohegan Sun for $99. If anyone has wanted to go down to Mohegan for the day, this might get the missus to go along with it!

A few offers expire tomorrow including: 50% Bonus + 25,000 MQMs (Medallion Qualification Miles) for first time transfers from Membership Rewards to Delta (100,000 minimum to get MQMs), 40% Rebate (67% Bonus) on Membership Rewards transfers to Delta, 50% bonus when buying Amtrak points (the website is a bit slow so be patient. Also, 5000 minimum for the bonus), and finally the 100% bonus on purchased or transferred SkyMiles (The Points Guy has a great breakdown of the best way to take advantage of the bonus).

Mommy Points is reporting that you may be able to “check in” with your FourSquare mobile app to get bonus points at various hotels. Make sure to check whenever you’re staying at a hotel.

Forward also gets you 5% back on Amazon purchases all year under "bookstore" category! That's a HUGE plus for some people yet you never mention it!

Why not signup your wife for one Citi card and you signup for the other? That is what we did!

Hmm… spending $10,000 on the Citi ThankYou Preferred Rewards Card to get $500 in gift cards… 0.5% payout ratio… wouldn't you be better off getting a cash back card that gives you at least 1% back?

anon: we have considered that option and are still 10 days from our final churn decisions

montreal. i just can't do cash back cards. it is a personal thing. if I don't see myself saving for something I lose interest. miles and points I can see SAVED in an account

Get the citi Thank you and cash out your points right away … in a month call in and ask to change to forward … Unless you cannot wait for a month

The 50,000 are too good to pass up. You can still get 2 points per dollar on your Sapphire card until your next churn.

@Montreal: You math is not accurate: $500/$10,000 = 5%, but in reality you should remember that 50,000 points is just bonus, you still get you regular 10,000 points (1pt/$1) for spending $10,000 so the total payback is 6%.

Isn't the ThankYou Premier 50,000 for $2k spend in 3 months, 1st year fee waiver still alive? I thought it was like many of those Citi offers; pulled but still up on the web.

$10,000 spend for 50,000 bonus miles is a very high bar.

Unless you have business expenditure, or an natty trick, couldn't that $10k spend be better used elsewhere, probably hitting multiple other card bonuses? If you are counting on 'dining' to make that spend, then you are loosing out on the other cards 5 points/$.

Rick I currently hold 3 Premier cards; all with bonus. I probably need to read the offer closer but in my experience Citi's ThankYou products don't have the same 'first time applicant' clauses as their AADV cards.

Has anyone ever applied for 2 different cards from the same issuer at the same time – ie, the Citi Preferred Thank You Rewards and the Citi Forward or the Chase Sapphire and the Chase Freedom – by filling out the forms using 2 different browsers such as Safari and Firefox and sending them as close to the same time as possible? Or is that a preposterous idea?

Are there differed versions of the Citi Forward card? My girlfriend recently got one for college students and I'm not sure if they offer 5x points on dining.
