When I read stories such as this it brings home two points. One, the fact that we, in the United States, are extremely fortunate to have the health care that we do. And with that being said, the sadness that there also exist in America those who still do not have access to even such a clinic as the one you describe in Mali.
Secondly, it makes the case for the need of more Americans to travel so that we can truly appreciate what we so often take for granted in our great nation.
Thank you Andrew for an eye-opening account of your time at the clinic in Mali.
