Looks like the 25k SkyMiles per $500 order with SkyMall is a better bang for you buck. Even if you don't resell the items, still looks amazing compared to buying miles and you will have 3 Galaxy Tab's!

I tried installing the Delta toolbar on a web browser (IE) that I rarely use.

During the installation process a popup advised that I needed to close ALL open browsers (meaning Firefox and Chrome) in order to activate the toolbar. I clicked Cancel because I had a lot of open tabs in those browsers, but after a few seconds a window opened saying that the toolbar was successfully installed.

So maybe it is and maybe it isn't. Note: It's from Cartera.

If I apply for a card today, how many days (if I get approved- I will) will it arrive?

How many points do they usually give out at spg for first timers?

One big advantage with Delta is that you put award tickets on hold for about 48hours on delta.com. Not only that if you call them, they can extend your hold for another 48 hours.

Anonymous: Typically 25000 for the SPG card..30000 is the highest I have seen.

Also, if you want the card earlier than 7-10 days, you can usually ask them to expedite the shipment(overnight or next-day for no cost)..especially if you have a compelling reason..like you will be traveling soon or have a big purchase coming up. I have had multiple ccard issuers do this many times. (I'm on the road often)..in many instances I have received the card in 2-4 days this way.
