If you were disappointed with the new British Airways 100,000 point offer, you can get a different offer without the big spend requirement. According to this FlyerTalk thread (and confirmed by myself), there is an offer on BA’s site that offers 50,000 points after first purchase and 50,000 after your first year anniversary. You have to pay a $75 annual fee each year, but you get 100,000 points in return. You do not have to purchase a ticket as the title of the thread suggests as reported by many people within the thread.
