before redeeming your AAdvantage miles for domestic saver awards, check how many British Airways miles it would require instead. for example, Boston to Chicago or Boston to New York would both cost 12,500 AA miles each way, but with Avios it’s only 7500 and 4500 miles, respectively for those two (oneway) flights. that allows you to save AA miles for more valuable redemptions.

Here’s my best AA deal – but it’s not an airfare. It’s that AA has a partnership with Wells Fargo, and you can get miles by refinancing. And now’s the time. Here’s the link:
