BOSCOLO VENEZIA HOTEL – VENICE, ITALY
This very special and unique destination is home to the Boscolo Venezia hotel, a member of the autograph collection within the Marriott group. This collection is group of independent hotels that choose to be part of Marriott; I imagine mainly for their booking engine. They are not built bespoke for Marriott. When you first arrive in Venice you will think you have stepped back in time, with the incredible architecture and network of canals. What is amazing about this hotel is the decor and fabulous style is also reminiscent of centuries gone by. Trust me you will not want to leave.

RITZ CARLTON POWERSCOURT, COUNTY WICKLOW, IRELAND
Cross the Atlantic ocean and the first piece of Europe you come across is the sparkling Emerald Isle and a must visit for everyone. A first stop into the wonderful Ritz Carlton only a stones throw from Dublin might spoil you forever. Their website urges you to take an enchanted walk amongst the gentle green hills of powerscourt gardens and sparkling lakes, then head into Dublin for some cosmopolitan flair. You wouldn’t have to urge me twice. This is a wonderful region and the activities around here include fly fishing, croquet, shooting, archery, and horse riding. The Irish hospitality and a roaring fire in the local village pub will melt an iceberg in January.

JW MARRIOTT COPACABANA BEACH, RIO DE JANIERO , BRAZIL
The Legendary Copacabana in Brazil has a new 5 star hotel and it happens to be a JW Marriott. They say Rio is a state of mind, an endless celebration of life. The rooftop pool here is a good place to start celebrating with sweeping views of Sugar Loaf mountain and Christ the redeemed. You don’t have to stop the Samba until dawn, oh wait, you don’t have to stop then either. Keep going.

As if Paris needs an introduction, but if it does check our Paris Diamond Destination Guide. This hotel is in a location second to none in the City of Lights and has a wonderful ambience. I wouldn’t be surprised if they rebranded it a JW at some point. The rates are certainly north of most JW’s at over $1000 a night when I checked for a weekend in June. You won’t pay that, you will burn 160,000 points for 5 nights and a slice of one of the most romantic cities on earth.

DOVE MOUNTAIN ARIZONA RITZ CARLTON
This one is for spa, nature and / or golf lovers. Set high in the Sonoran desert between Tucson and Phoenix this wonderful spa hotel is all about relaxation and rejuvenation. You can play at being a high class cowboy here with activities such as cattle penning, rodeos, scenic mountain trail rides, tennis, and a world class 27 hole Jack Nicklaus golf course. Despite an amazing pool and water slides to cool off I recommend a spring or fall visit in this part of the world.
