AA has pretty good deals from DFW to LIH (Hawaii) in November. For example, November 2nd to November 10th for $530 round trip including taxees. ~$260-ish each way.

Prevent your miles from expiring (and pick up a few points along the way) by downloading the AA toolbar to your browser. You get a few miles for your searches, but the best thing is that it is a free and easy way to extend the life of your miles.

Since AA allows free domestic stopovers when booking international flights with miles, it is actually possible to get a free leg added to your one way trip when booking a trip on AA.com. Just pick a major “Gateway” city (DFW, LAX, MIA, ORD, JFK, BOS) to have your stopover in, and use the multi-city function to book your one-way ticket. This means you can maximize the use of your AA miles if you have an idea of two different destinations you’d like to go. Happy travels!
