Credit card deal. Log into your MileagePlus account AND do a dummy booking. A banner for the United MileagePlus Explorer card should appear. The offer you see there will be for 50K bonus miles (after $1K spend in 3 months), $50 statement credit, and first year fee-free. This beats the public offer of 30K and fee-free and even the plain MileagePlus login w/o dummy booking offer of 50K and fee-free. The CVS I go to for Vanilla Reload cards is now temporarily keeping them behind the counter for extra awareness because they received at least one card that caused problems after the shopper discovered it was missing digits under the scratch off area. So…scratch the metallic stuff off your reload cards before you walk away from that counter! It will be a huge pain if you go home and have to convince them that you didn’t scam them…but it’s not like the funds wouldn’t be on the card. Just scratch it there and avoid the issue!
