There are some great fares out there. The Flight Deal is reporting LAX to Boston on American round trip taxes and fees included for $199.80!!! That is 3.8 cpm!! You must purchase by Jan. 25. Departure dates of Feb 1 after 7 and all day Feb 2 and return Feb. 4 or 5. They are also reporting other great fares JFK – AUS for this weekend for $164.80. There are sample dates they list as well. United award ticket in economy from SFO-HKG direct is not available on May 10, but you can have that by booking SFO-SIN which stop over in HKG via flight SQ1. There you can get a direct flight from SFO to HKG though it is not available if you search for destination in HKG.

ANA is no longer imposing fuel surcharges on United flights. With ANA’s distance-based award chart, there are some great values there for transatlantic tickets.

SPG hotels is having a red hot (new year) deals for hotels (book by feb 11). There are some great finds in there for under $100 and some cat 5,6 hotels for under $150. Mostly asia-pacific but some nice properties in the Americas and Europe are on the list

While all frequent flyers like AwardWallet for gathering various miles/points in one place, there is another hidden gem there which isn’t discussed widely. If you are already donating some funds to get full access to AW services, you can get Onecard as well. You just need to donate 1 time $10 for full access as well as card. This comes real handy when you have to pull mileage # at the airport or find tel number of the airline when the flight is getting delayed.

AwardWallet OneCard is a credit card sized plastic card with magnetic strip (which enables you to check in for your flights at airport kiosks ). The card will have your personal account numbers and program phone numbers printed on the front and back sides. The card can contain up to 30 different loyalty program accounts listed.
