Banks are now offering rewards shopping malls tied to their affiliated rewards programs: Examples are Chase Ultimate Rewards, Citi Thank You Points, and American Express Membership Rewards. Each institution has an online mall where you can cash in your points earned from credit card spending and other bank related activities for merchandise, gift cards, experiences or, you can use your points to transfer to airline and hotel loyalty programs, OR actually pay for airline tickets or hotel accommodations.
Holiday time is a great time for online shopping; many merchants increase the award points they offer for purchases. During the holidays is not uncommon to be offered double the points. Shipping is also prepaid on many sites for purchases over a certain dollar amount.
