IHG Rewards has just released the latest PointBreaks list. PointBreaks are IHG properties that have been temporarily discounted to just 5,000 points per night. This is significant, since IHG’s lowest category redemptions start at 10,000 points per night and go upwards of 50,000 points. You can purchase 5k IHG points for as little as $35 or transfer Ultimate Rewards points at a 1:1 ratio.
There are only two Intercontinental properties in this batch: The property in Amman and Kiev, both of which are top-rated hotels. Other than that, there is a vast selection of other IHG brands to choose from, which are still a great bargain:

Bookings are limited, so if you know your travel plans, book soon. I wouldn’t recommend booking a bunch of room speculatively and canceling them later, because that way other people are missing out. These properties can be booked through October 31, 2013 – when the next batch of PointBreak hotels comes out.
